As a Service Manager I had a couple of female mechanic's employed. Both ASE certified, and university educated.

Apprenticeships are part of the trade school or degree program requirements. Most shops wont take on apprentices without being in a school program. How to become a female mechanic?I did a college taster course in mechanics and i think you just need basic 5 C+ grades. coz' in high school Not like you did mechanics. you have to do a mini exam aswell but i don't think it is anything to do with mechanics think it just general maths and stuff. How to become a female mechanic? My best friend is training to be a mechanic, she asked around all the garage and dealerships and found one that said they do apprenticeships, she'd already done a few months of college mechanics prior to this but she didn't like and felt she got treated unfairly by the other students because she was the only girl, she is now working in a Quikfit as an apprenticeship and she is absolutly loving it, shes away doing a weeks course in something or other to do with the carborator at the moment.

Theres a lot of travelling involved in hers, going away for weekends and such to do training courses in other counties, but its well worth it for her she loves it!

I hope this helps!

Good luck!
